As we were growing up entertaining in our homes was not just an evening, it was a way of life, and a gift of love. When people were coming over, there was not one dish on the table but several; as we all loved food. Appetisers and cocktails abounded, flowers from the garden decorated the tables, making guests feel welcomed, spoiled and fawned over, guests savoured the delicious Indian foods; the conversations would be flowing. Our total desire was not about impressing our guests but about honouring them in our home.
I took those pleasures and memories, those desires to please and created Serani, Asian catering, weddings and events company. Our philosophy was to create a prestigious Asian catering company, beautiful weddings and amazing events. Serani Asian weddings & events has gone from strength to strength; we continue to strive for the best, setting high event management standards both with our Asian catering and our décor services. Our portfolio demonstrates amazing Asian catering, breath-taking venue décor and amazing events. We believe in being the market leaders in Asian catering and décor services creating awesome dishes and transforming venues with amazing wow factor décor. We listen to our clients’ needs and create specific tailor made individualised Asian weddings and events which suits their budget. Our personalised approach to wedding co-ordination and planning offers clients the opportunity to tell us their desires and wishes; we listen, we co-ordinate every step of the planning and manage the entire process from start to finish, leaving clients to have a stress free experience.
I am Rani Binning the Company’s director. I was born in India in 1962 and came to the UK in 1963. I have a science education and management background. My skills have been the backbone of setting up and driving this business forward. My ability to learn new skills is very evident as I comfortably made the transition into the wedding catering and event industry. With my educational and managerial qualifications I feel confident to seek new horizons and take the company further to new levels.
I am indebted to my teams creativity in style and design for both the Indian and Asian markets and as well as Corporate Events. My teams attention to detail in producing outstanding designs in venue decoration, beautiful receptions and floral centre-pieces, creative venue theming, chair covers, Asian wedding stages, Mandaps and much more has been outstanding. I am lucky that their constant quest for learning transfers to the company’s success and clients benefits.
Our highly skilled chefs have been hand-picked for their outstanding expertise in Asian catering. Our chefs use fresh Indian spices and local produce to create time and time again mouth-watering dishes. Our chefs are constantly challenging themselves to create new innovative Indian dishes to meet both traditional and modern clients.
The waiters, drivers and support team's skills and expertise is the backbone of the business. It is their skills that enable the planned work to be executed.
The team at Serani has created a company which relished the client, and the challenges of providing Asian weddings and events of understated elegance and unimaginable creativity. Each wedding and event we do, leaves our clients and guests breathless upon entering, speechless throughout, and begging for more upon leaving.
